It was after midnight when Chyan, Kim, and I got in from Chicago. It had been pouring rain and stormy for about an hour before we got there and it was still going. My phone rang while we were helping Kim get her things out of my car. It was my sister. I answered it, she sounded upset and wanted to know where I was. I asked her what was wrong, but she wouldn't tell me. I could here my mom in the background telling her to let me know what was going on. I knew something awful had happened, but my sister would NOT let me know what was going on. She just told me to call when I was closer to the house. I was really scared and started freaking out, and backing out of Kim's driveway. Which was a really bad idea... Anyways we wound up in the ditch. We tried to get it out, but I was still scared to death and freaking out a little. We were drenched and caked in mud. Finally we gave up and went and woke everyone at Kim's house up and she ended up giving us a ride home. My mom called then and told me what happened. My grandma had died just then, right around midnight. I lost it and broke down crying. I miss her so much. :( |
